Located on more than 200 acres in the Village of Indian Hill, Turner Farm has been in operation since the early 1800s. In 1994, it became a farm devoted to growing organically. Since that time, Turner Farm has become a leader in the greater Cincinnati agricultural community, providing food to customers and education, support and inspiration to a newly emerging generation of organic farmers.
Turner Farm sells certified organic vegetables and mushrooms, as well as pasture-raised chicken, beef, pork and lamb. It is also home to one of this country’s premier on-farm teaching kitchens. This facility is dedicated to providing educational opportunities coupling the best regenerative agricultural practices with an awareness of the fundamentals of proper nutrition and the health aspects of proper diet, food management, and culinary skills. Check out their website at www.turnerfarm.org to learn about programs, classes, and camps they have to offer.
Founder Bonnie Mitsui’s vision was to connect the local community with a true sense of how a farm looks, smells, and feels. Turner Farm is open to the public. Come for a visit to meet “Sol”, their new bull calf born on the winter solstice, stop in their Farm Market and explore their gardens. See their website for information on visiting the farm…It’s truly a magical place!
