Before moving to Cincinnati, Stevie (and her now husband) lived in Kauai, Hawaii. While there, she was lead baker for The Kilauea Bakery, baking for tourists, locals, restaurants, and large hotels. Although continuing to bake and cook for herself, family, and friends, it was not until years later that she started to bake for customers again. Toward the end of 2015, Fork and Pie was launched.
Fork and Pie is a licensed ‘from scratch’ bakery that hand crafts baked goods using fresh, high quality ingredients. From the cookie and bread dough, pie fillings, right down to their sorghum flour pie crust, they are all prepared in small batches to keep each recipe personal and true. Fork and Pie uses organic, fresh, local, seasonal ingredients whenever possible, and nothing is as fresh and local as using their own produce harvested from their almost three acre property. Their baked goods use the eggs from their free range chickens.
Even the packaging used for the baked goods has had the same amount of thought put into it as the ingredients. The boxes used by Fork and Pie are uncoated and no chemicals were used to change their natural organic appearance. The fiber for these brown boxes comes from Sustainable Forestry Initiative lumber and are 100% biodegradable and compostable. Even the clear food grade envelopes for cookie packaging are sustainably made from plants and are also certified compostable.
“I grew up with fresh home cooked food. Everyone gardening, making and baking…one side of the family had somewhat traditional farm recipes, like blueberry pie, homemade ketchup, noodles and beef from the family farm. The other side having some recipes, but a bit more creative and a ‘make it as you go’ mentality. I think that’s why it took a year prior to opening Fork and Pie to actually sit and write down all the ‘recipes’ that I had been making that were only to be found in my head”.
Fork and Pie also offers an ever-increasing Gluten Free menu. All their gluten free items are created so that anyone tasting them would not realize they were gluten free!
Fork and Pie is happy to take custom orders from one to thirty plus pies for your special event. Cookie Trays for small personal parties to custom desserts for corporate events.

You can find Fork and Pie at Madeira Farmers’ Market, Thursdays, 3:30-6:00pm. Starting in May at Mt. Washington’s Market in the Park 9am-12pm.Come by to say Hi at a market and try some samples!
